So, if you are going to set up parallels between the previous generation of heroes/heroes turned villains and the current generation of heroes, then set up the parallels, don't just say "they're just like them"

So first the show made Uno incompetent and then made him a hero of the horn?

It was only in the previous episode Ishamael convinced Mat that he was worthless and evil in all his previous lives and now, in the very next episode the show is telling no actually. If you are setting up a character arc don't just cancel it immediately

(i mean i would've hated tortured mat grappling with his self worth and sense of morality, but i would have respected the show for committing to it at least)

Overall the writing this episode was so much weaker than the previous one, season finale deserves better. (And i think the production crew understands this because they given the first and last episodes of s3 to the same person who has written s2e7)
